General
This a 12 hour course (2 x 6hr sessions) delivered across 2 days.
Participants must complete the entire 2 day's training in full to receive their certificate.
When you complete an MHFA Course, MHFA will email you a post-workshop survey. Once you complete the survey you will be given a Certificate of Completion. You will also have the opportunity to complete an online Accreditation Assessment. If you pass the Assessment, you will become an Accredited MHFAider and be issued a digital Certificate of Accreditation by MHFA Australia, valid for 3 years. There is no additional fee to sit the online Accreditation Assessment or receive the digital Certificate.
The Accreditation Assessment is an online 15 question quiz, with a mixture of multiple-choice questions based on specific MHFA scenarios and True or False questions, that can be completed using the MHFA manual.
You must receive a score of at least 80% to pass the assessment. If you do not pass on your first attempt, you will be offered a second attempt.
Currently, the post-course Accreditation Assessment and course feedback is only available online. Unfortunately, if you do not provide the Instructor with an email address, you will not be able to complete the Accreditation Assessment and receive a Certificate of Accreditation. You could decide to set up an email address just to complete the online Assessment, using a free email account such as Gmail or Outlook.
If you are not able to provide an email address, the Instructor can collect hard-copy feedback and provide a hard-copy Certificate of Completion for attending the course (please advise them and request this from the Instructor before the course).
